What are Ms. Winfrey’s educational and professional qualifications to be political analyst and commentator? Why are people following the suggestions of ultra wealthy uneducated entertainers? I don’t understand the trend in America for people to value the opinions of the uneducated wealthy entertainers who are disconnected from the daily realities of life such as cost of rent, gas, food, ect.??
All the others as well, Bono, Jane Fonda, Sean Penn, ect? What is it people think they know? What makes them enlightened about the lives of working class Americans?

Oprah’s opinion doesn’t matter at all but we have people who think celebrities know everything but they don’t.They don’t know anything about how it feels to be working more than eight hours a day.All they know about is siting back and others do there work for them.Most of them don’t even have a education.
It doesn’t to me. But to many ignorant people I guess it does. This way they can live vicariously through another.

I don’t think any educated people take Oprah seriously she has no political or legal backround she is a liar and has been caught but pays to get rid of it ( she had a baby at like13 remember? and its dead) the rest of them some actually have politcal or legal backround
Why does anyones opinion matter? What qualifies 99% of pundits out there amassing a following? What public office has Bill O’Reilly or Anne Coulter held, yet they are the stars of a news network that claims to be legitimate.

Americans are funny. They always talk about the "American Dream" Starting out with nothing and working hard to attain wealth and a high standing in society. But then when someone does that they do nothing but call them names and say they are stupid. These people you mentioned are souls that draw on their experiences to encourage others, do a lot of charitable works, and should be an inspiration to people. But someone like Bush, who was born with a "silver spoon" in his mouth and spent his youth partying and avoiding responsibility and used his family name to get out of military duty and to become President, he is a hero..the man can’t even spit out a coherent sentence..too strange for me..

What are Sean Hannity’s and Rush Limbaugh’s qualifications? Neither one completed a year of college.
Her opinion doesn’t matter to me. I have made up my mind on the candidate I will be voting for, and it is not Obama.
Oprah has stated several times on her talk show that she doesn’t know enough about politics and that she is very uneducated when it comes to the topic of politics. So both her educational and professional qualifications are lacking in the political arena.
Yet, she has repeatedly told her audience that this is such a great country to live in, but if she really knew the truth to the matter – I think she wouldn’t know what to say really.
I believe that there are those who need to stay within the spectrum of what they know and understand and to keep far away from what they do not understand. Their influence may have dire consequences and yet they will never have a clue to what they have done.
As for Bono, google and read the article on Bono and O’ Neill, Secretary for the Treasury. Do a google on Bono + World Bank.
Jane Fonda is a Democratic activist and is passionate about banning nukes, and her past marriage to Ted Turner (who divorced her for becoming a Christian) and his association with donating monies to fund eugenics programs has some eyebrows raised.
